Sárvár is a spa with 16 000 inhabitants developing dynamically in the west Hungarian region.

The main street no. 88 coming from the direction Szombathely goes through the Batthyány street and enters the main street no. 84 at the Kossuth place/main place.

From the direction Vienna-Sopron the town can be accessed by the main street no. 84; from the direction of Budapest it is useful to choose the route main main street no. 8 - street no. 84.

The city of Sárvár is an important stop on the main railway track Budapest-Szombathely.

The bus station is a departure, as well as stop point of the over-country lines and the bus lines in the surroundings. The town is connected to Germany and Austria by an immediate line.

Thanks to thousand year old history the city of Sárvár is bound to the fortress Nádasdy; the fortress is operating both as a museum and as a cultural centre now.

The spa features of the town are emphasized by the spa and wellnes bath renovated in 2002.

There are three 4-star hotels and a 4-star camping in Sárvár.

About 1000 guests are housed in motels and boarding houses daily. The Vadkert boulevard serving the tourism was finished; a wellness hotel with 500 rooms is is to be built here at the moment and the erection of other hotels has to be expected, too.

In principle, the industry in the city has specialized in the electrical engineering; to this end a special industrial park was founded, providing jobs for 4000-5000 persons.

The developments are primarily based on the medicinal bath.
